Looking for your ancestors?

Many people come to this site looking for relatives who may have lived in Chalfont St Giles. You may very well find a link here but this site does not attempt to duplicate the information you can get from dedicated genelogical sites. If you find nothing send me a query, I may have something in research which I have not yet published. I must stress that I am very unlikely to have anything from within the past 60 years.

The first and obvious thing to do is to see if the family you are interested is one of those listed under People in the menu. If it is it should give all the info I have on them at least in summary form.

If they are not listed the next thing to do is to enter the name in the Search Box on the home page to see if there is any occurrence of the name on any of the pages within this site.

If this proves negative you will need to go back to dedicated genelogical sites such as Find my Past or Ancestory.co.uk to find definite information from Census records etc. Unfortunately the Chalfont St Giles parish register transcripts are not online but the Bucks family history societies have data sets and can help.

If you have some definite indication that you have an ancestor or relative living permanently here prior to WW2 then send me a question with the info you have and I will see if I can help. I give no promises of any kind though.
